While we love our pets (and yours!), this is a human-only, 21 and over event.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Front Street Animal Shelter is to protect, preserve, and enhance the quality of life for both animals and people by strengthening the human-animal bond. Front Street’s companion nonprofit, Friends of Front Street, is committed to improving the lives of all stray, abandoned, and abused animals who come to the Front Street Animal Shelter and support all pets in the region and the people who love them. Together, our work supports animal welfare across the Sacramento region.

2021 BY THE NUMBERS
In 2021, Front Street took in 6,151 dogs and cats. Of those 3,324 animals were adopted, 414 animals were sent to rescues and transfer partners, and 1,221 animals were reunited with their owners! Our Live Release Rate was 91% for dogs and 78% for cats.
